City of Fruits
Kidapawan's moniker as the "City of Fruits" is well-deserved. The fertile volcanic soil from Mount Apo and the favorable tropical climate create optimal growing conditions for a wide variety of fruits including durian, pomelo, mangosteen, rambutan, lanzones, banana, and pineapple.
The annual Timpupo Festival celebrates this agricultural heritage with colorful street parades, fruit displays, and the iconic fruit-sharing event where tons of fresh fruits are distributed to residents and visitors alike.
